Be thankful when you don't know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn. Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow. Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you opportunities for improvement. Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character. Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons. Be thankful when you're tired and weary, because it means you've made a difference. It's easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks. Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive. | Everyone has plenty to be thankful for if they stop and think about it. Here are just a few things I'm thankful for: I am thankful for hope. A life without hope would be a dark, fearful, and agonizing existence. I'm thankful to family and friends for the love we share, for the memories we have created, and for the bonds we have that bring us closer to our own souls. I'm thankful for the food and shelter I enjoy. I don't live like a king, but the world doesn't need another king. If you have a roof over your head and food to eat every day, you're better off than millions and millions of others who don't enjoy such luxury. I'm thankful that I can read. With this ability alone, I can teach myself anything that I want to know that is knowable by studying. I'm thankful for the beauty of nature. A single flower, a fluffy cloud, a majestic mountain, a gnarly old tree - there is awesome beauty everywhere if we just open our eyes to see it. I'm thankful for our differences. If we all had the same thoughts, looked the same, and liked the same things, life would indeed be boring and devoid of flavor and color. I'm thankful for second chances, because who hasn't made mistakes in their life? These are just a few things I think we have in common that we can all be thankful for, but I'm sure you have many more things you can be thankful for too. When you are thankful for what you have, the Universe has a way of increasing your reasons to be thankful.
